WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS COLLAGE MEANS ?

All of my collages have meaning. I started writing poems to accompany some of them. Being extremely dyslexic, writing isn’t my strength, but poems feel different—more abstract, where the grammar doesn’t always have to be perfect. I kept them to myself for a long time but recently felt like sharing them. So here are two of my poems.

Make it stand out.

Human Rights for Female Pigs

Sometimes the best way to protest and speak

Is to shock the world, make it take a peek.

This collage might feel like it’s out of place,

But it's tied to the food we eat and embrace.

It's not about cities or sex, not today, But the lives we affect in a hidden way.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a BLT, But the "B" can be swapped for something cruelty-free.

I claim not to eat pigs, I stand by that vow,

Yet somehow the craving still calls me now.

But trust me when I say, think twice what you chew, You’ll regret it when you learn what these animals go through.

In horrendous conditions, they suffer and cry, So listen, take action, don’t let this slide by.

Human rights are a start, but there's more we can do—

Animal rights, especially for pigs, deserve their due.

You are what you eat

Urban Landscape

Towers rise, one by one, Swallowing the spaces, leaving none.

Hoping to solve the housing strain, Yet the quality's lost in the urban gain.

For young dreams, hope starts to sink, Housing's not what we used to think.

Will we ever afford to stay?

The rich and expats take it away.

The working class pushed farther out, The city's charm, now filled with doubt.

Creativity fades, ambiguity dies,

As tourists flood in with widened eyes.

The urban landscape, once meant well, But now, its story’s hard to tell.

As always, the people bear the weight,

While the city bends to a different fate.
